ITA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ERNIE ALDER HONORED

Ernie Alder, longtime Executive Director of the Indiana Troopers Association and founder of the Indiana State Police Summer Youth Camps was recently honored with one of six "hero awards" by the organization.
Alder was honored for his untiring work with young people across the state through the Indiana State Police Summer Camp Program. The camp program is celebrating their 40th anniversary year in 2010. Since its beginning, it is estimated that over 40,000 young boys and girls have attended the camps. Many have gone on to choose either a state police career or some other law enforcement field.
Alder and the other 2010 recipients were honored with a luncheon at the Conrad Hotel where the attached video interview was provided. The luncheon was attended by Alder's family and ITA staff members.
