| 2004 David Deuter Memorial "What Being a Good Citizen Means To Me" 5th Grade Essay Contest Winners of the 2004 “What Being A Good Citizen Means To Me” program have now received their Governor’s Shining Star Certificates, US Savings Bonds, and engraved plaques.
Indiana Governor Joseph Kernan, Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Suellen Reed, Indiana State Police Supt. Melvin Carraway and ITA President Duane Davies addressed county winners and their families at a recent Statewide Essay Contest Awards Program in the Indiana State House.
A special motivational program was presented by Jungle John of Silly Safaris and was enjoyed by the standing room only crowd.
