BENEFITING
THE COMMUNITY
The
Indiana Troopers Association strives to meet the diverse needs of
both our constituency and the public.
We are a voice to and for our people.
We work to achieve a higher level of professional recognition
and service within the State of Indiana.
We support projects that generate a positive understanding of
the role of police personnel, which positively impacts the lives of
the members of the communities we serve.
We
support the community through such annual statewide programs as the
David Deuter Memorial Essay Contest for 5th graders, and our Holiday
Assistance Program.
We
also contribute to many child-centered efforts including: Indiana State Police
Youth Services & Historical Center and their Summer Camp
Program, Indiana Conservation Officers Youth Camps, Steuben County Literacy
Coalition.
It
continues to be our goal to extend the helping hands of law
enforcement personnel by reaching out to children, building rapport
and changing the direction of Indiana’s greatest asset – our
children.
The community contribution of ITA members have
far reaching effects; officers are viewed in a different light,
children have role models, and people learn that there are
compassionate and truly caring individuals behind the uniforms they
wear.
